I never got to see a doctor after waiting over 5 hours

Suggested improvements
To see a doctor. My bloods wasn’t taken when I arrived even thou I had an ecg. Which means waiting time would have doubled.

NHS is broken I believe to under funding and with this war going on, no not Israel and Hamas between Dr's nurses and Government things will not improve until it gets sorted, I could feel the tension between medical staff and patients not good

Suggested improvements
Fix the NHS then things will sort themselves out

I can’t believe you’re asking for a review!! I left A&E at 2 am still waiting for a doctor to see my 86 year old mother. People were leaving all the time because of the waiting and lack of communication. I had to have an emergency appointment at the GP the next day for antibiotics and then go back to the walk-in clinic to get mums arm dressed. 9-10 hours and no one looked at her arm.

Suggested improvements
You could have had more doctors there didn’t seem to be more than 2 working. Maybe the nurses could do more when it’s a wound.

After waiting 9hr+ in AE. I was told there wasn't a dermatology doctor to see me. The in hospital GP could of informed me of that information alot sooner! I came to the hospital approximately 12.40pm and left 9.40pm. Entire waste of my day. Until 3am the following morning I was contacted via phone to ask if I was still in the hospital. At that point I did receive some advise from the doctor. But Where's 12.40pm and 3am to be finally seen?! Should have a referral system in order to be seen by a doctor now that I've gone through AE process.

Suggested improvements
Service needs to be alot quicker! When waiting in AE there should be digital signboard displaying when patient name has been called out. Or when GP is ready to see you. Some doctors are barely raising there voice in order for patients to hear clearly. What if I happened to go to the toilets at that point and missed the doctors call? Some doctors kept their masks on when calling out for patients. Understand for personal protection it might be required, but makes it very diffcult to hear in a busy hospital.

I found the whole process of my care was good , the doctors / nurses very helpful - but I know I’m stating the obvious but you require more staff to deal with the intake of patients . The time scale I was there could have been dealt with more easier , quicker if you have more staff . Although the communication that I received was clear & precise I found that other patients were miscommunicated with .

Suggested improvements
Only clearly stating the obvious more staff - perhaps a general desk area to see patients ti to help out the staff where possible . I understand that Majors B is a very busy area - but I think it could be managed more easier with more staff & less stressed staff - communication could be better (not in my case) but noticed other patients & staff where miscommunicatng with each other . A patient who was sitting behind me had been there for 30hrs (in hospital) & by his accounts hadn’t seen a doctor yet a nurse was giving him medication which he refused as he hadn’t seen anybody as in a doctor to be prescribe meds
